OUR REASONS
The effects of economic disadvantages and social exclusion relate directly to crime and violence, health, the drugs problem, marriage and family breakdown etc.
Other effects such as a general feeling of cynicism, lack of optimism, lack of solidarity and trust in each other are felt amongst all people as 'the breakdown of society'.
These consequences are devastating for our society and for those who suffer them both directly and indirectly.
They are felt in all groups, not just amongst the socially excluded.
